About this Virtual Experience

Born in Ayrshire in 1759, Robert Burns is Scotland's national bard. Affectionately known as 'the Ploughman Poet', his verses stand as a fitting testament to Scotland's proud literary history.

In this fun and informative session, a leading expert on Scotland will take you on a 45-minute tour of the works of ""Rabbie"", and explain why his legend is so important to Scottish identity. You'll learn about the origins of Burns Night, and about the running order of a traditional Burns Supper, from the piping in of the guests, through to the Selkirk Grace and the feast itself.

A whistlestop tour of one of the most important days in the calendar for the people of Scotland, and a much-loved celebration for people all over the world.
